Silver Creek Capital Management LLC (“Silver Creek”), a global private credit investor and investment manager with more than $5.5 billion in assets under management, today announced two senior additions to the firm’s credit team. Art Zaske has rejoined Silver Creek as Director of Alternative Credit, and Mary Bates has joined the firm as Director of Credit Strategies. Silver Creek has a history of investing in credit for nearly 20 years and has put $1 billion to work in a broad selection of credit strategies since the onset of the financial crisis.

“We are very pleased to welcome Art back to Silver Creek and look forward to leveraging his extensive credit investing expertise as we continue to grow our alternative credit business,” said Bryan Weeks, President and Chief Executive Officer of Silver Creek. “Additionally, Mary’s expertise in aligning product offerings with institutional needs, communicating with the consulting community and publishing on the credit markets will add a new dimension to our firm. We are confident that the additions of Art and Mary will enhance Silver Creek’s ability to develop and implement unique investment solutions for our growing global investment base.”

From 2006 through 2010, Mr. Zaske helped Silver Creek manage credit-related strategies as a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Mr. Zaske holds an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California and a BA from Boston College.

As Director of Credit Strategies at Silver Creek, Ms. Bates is responsible for evaluating, underwriting and monitoring credit-focused strategies for the firm’s investment portfolios. Ms. Bates joins Silver Creek from the Chicago office of Hewitt EnnisKnupp (HEK) where she served as a Senior Research Consultant on HEK’s Liquid Alternatives team.
